Ballerina

The ballerina will be performing in front of audience for the first time, but she is afraid of messing up.
She is waiting behind the curtains, feeling anxious and having flashbacks of her last performance. She is trying to calm herself down and telling herself that she can do it.
In this animation, I wanted to focus on her emotions, showing how anxious she was and how much her anxiety was taking over.
At first, I did the storyboard to figure out the camera angle and how the story would go on. Then, I designed the ballerina and figure out the color palette. I did the animatics for the animation and then edited the storyboard and how I want my animation to be approached after getting a one-on-one session with Debra Solomon. I decided to take the route of focusing on her emotions and what's going on behind the scene before the show. I used Toon Boom Harmony for the animatics and then switched to Photoshop in the final version of the Animation.
