Ballerina

I wanted to design a 2D character and use it to try 2D animation. I looked up for inspirations on Google and Pinterest for ideas and combine them to create my character. I saw messy yet beautiful ballerina dresses and sketched my own design inspired by the ideas. Lindsey Stirling's hair in the music video "Shatter Me" was the inspiration for my character's hair. After sketching the design, I created a color palette for the character.
After finishing the character design, I did a character boil. Overall, I learned a lot how different designing a 2D character is compared to 3D character. I enjoyed creating the ballerina and I'll continue experimenting and designing 2D characters.
