"Control the Messiness" and "Embrace the Messiness"

My screen prints show a girl feeling anxious and being pulled down, hence the hands representing anxiety. I decided to go with screen printing as I'm able to layer as many as I want. The layers represent the depth of my anxiety and worries I faced throughout my life. I decided to print a layer of gold shimmer on one of my prints to show how much I would try to control and keep everything inside. It gets to a point where it is tiring to keep everything under control, so I try to embrace my messiness. I splattered purple, blue, and green shimmers on a screen and screen printed on my other print to create the messiness. I felt free when doing that and not following everything within the lines.
